EVALUATION OF A NEW ROUTE SCHEME FOR THE BO-BUSES LTD

EVALUERING AV NYTT RUTEOPPLEGG FOR BO-BUSSENE AS

In 1991, the Ministry of Transport and Communications initiated a programme of pilot projects on public transport services. Within this programme a local bus company in Southeastern Norway introduced an alteration of the route scheme, together with a marketing campaign. To evaluate the results, two surveys were made: a postal interview among the users of the services, and telephone interviews with a representative selection of the population. This report presents the results from the evaluation of the change of the route scheme, and the results are compared with other experiments in the trial scheme programme.(A)
