ADVENTURES IN PAVEMENT MANAGEMENT - THREE RECENT BRITISH COLUMBIA CASE HISTORIES
This paper describes three pavement management projects with differing characteristics which were carried out by N.D. Lea Consultants Ltd. in British Columbia during 1994. The product resulting from each project is also outlined, together with how this product benefits the road agency which commissioned the work. The resultant degree of customer satisfaction is also examined. The three assignments are: (1) a low technology, low budget pavement management ten-year plan for the Town of Comox; (2) a medium technology, low budget determination of paving priorities for the South Coast Region of the Ministry of Transportation and Highways; and (3) the initial stage of a state-of-the-art pavement management system for the City of Surrey, one of the fastest developing municipalities in Canada.
