VESSEL DESIGN BASED ON A SYSTEMS APPROACH

The author describes an alternative approach to ship design based on the philosophy of systems. Not new or revolutionary, it is a logic based method with reputedly the capacity to identify design parameters in what is described as "a global or macro" context. The concept is applied to the design of a patrol craft.
