'STEADY AS SHE GOES' ON INTEGRATED BRIDGES FOR FAST FERRIES

Adoption of automated ship's bridges, centralising all control and supervisory functions for one or two man operation, must be a measured evolutionary process; this is even more so with fast ferries if the potential for automation-assisted accidents is to be avoided. Some of the latest developments in integrated bridge systems for fast ferries are reviewed.
