ABU AL ABYADH; STATIONARY WIDE BEAM SHALLOW DRAUGHT CUTTER SUCTION DREDGER

The 7,792kW cutter suction dredger was built for the National Marine Dredging Company, Abu Dhabi by IHC Holland, Kinderdijk, The Netherlands. The dredger was order for a very special job: digging itself to an island that must subsequently be enlarged. The harsh conditions in which the new cutter dredger is supposed to work, dictate the use of special materials in liners for cooling and dredge pipes. ABU AL ABYADH is capable of a least dredging depth of 3.00m and a swing of 50.00m.
