A NEW APPROACH TO SEAKEEPING TESTS OF SELF-PROPELLED MODELS IN OBLIQUE WAVES WITH TRANSIENT WAVE PACKETS
This paper presents a seakeeping model testing technique for self-propelled marine models using predictable transient "design" wave packets and vertical side wall wave absorbers. The method allows the analysis of all motion transfer functions by magnitude and phase with high resolution.
