DEVELOPMENT OF DEEPWATER FIELDS USING MOSES SMALL TLP

Deepwater Tension Leg Platforms (TLP) are normally unsuitable for small or medium sized deepwater fields because of their inherently high Capex costs. A new, small low-cost TLP design has now been developed that can be delivered in relatively short timescales and be provided to operators on a lease basis. The Minimum Offshore Surface Equipment Structure (MOSES) has been designed for small fields located in moderate/deep water depths. It can be used or as a building block for the staged development of a large field. A base case design is for eight wells and 20 000 Barrels of fluid per day.
