NOISE AND VIBRATION INSULATION WITH MOUNTINGS

The article gives guidelines for the design of resiliently mounted machinery, especially with regard to the mountings supporting these installations. Attention is focused on the acoustical effect of an insufficient impedance mismatch at the mounting-structure interfaces and the importance of the number and the location of the mountings.
