STATOIL CHARTER DANISH NEWBUILDINGS
The 41,143 dwt products tanker TORM ALICE built by Japanese shipbuilder Onomichi Dockyard, was delivered in July to Alice Product Tanker Corporation, a Liberian subsidiary of A/S Dampskibsselskabet Torm, Denmark. Upon delivery, the vessel entered worldwide service with Statoil on time charter. Its sistership TORM GOTLAND was due for delivery in August. In addition to clean cargoes the double skinned vessel is able to carry crude oils, dirty petroleum products and solvents. Cargo is carried in eight main tanks, segmented into four groups plus port and starboard slop tanks, providing a total capacity of 338 078 bbls, 53 750m3. Principal particulars of the vessel are: propulsion 1 x Mitsui MAN-B&W 6S50MC length, overall 182.84m length, between perpendiculars 172.00m breadth, moulded 32.20m depth, moulded 192.10m draught, moulded 11.50m draught, full load 12.80m tonnage, deadweight 41 143 t speed, service 15 knots
