HIGH SPEED FERRY EVACUATION
The Stena high speed ferry due to start operations later this year will be the world's largest ferry, carrying 1,500 passengers. Such a revolutionary craft has demanded considerable innovations in safety. This article describes the marine evacuation system which consists of inflatable twin track slides capable of evacuating 400 people directly into two high capacity 135-person liferafts.
