The retrofit of the vessel was executed in April 1994 and within 3 weeks the existing gear units were dismounted and the completely mounted new gear units were installed, aligned, provided with tubes, connected electrically and tested. Dismounting and installation were effect via the car deck situated above the engine room. The ferry returned to service at the beginning of May 1994.
