STANDARD FLEX - THE DANISH SOLUTION FOR COASTAL DEFENCE
The article describes the 'Standard Flex 300' warships of the Royal Danish Navy. The Standflex 300 is built in grp-sandwich with a length of 54m, breadth of 9m and draught of 2.5m on a full load displacement of 450 tonnes. The class has common triple-screw CODAG propulsion, machinery control, surveillance radar, inertial navigation platform, ESM an gun fire control systems. Separate roles of surveillance, mine countermeasures, minelaying, ASW and combat/attack are achieved by designing in four positions for exchangeable modules or containers, one on the foredeck and three on the afterdeck.
