SAFETY FACTORS AND PROBABILITY OF FATIGUE FAILURE AT SIMULTANEOUS BENDING, TENSION AND COMPRESSION

The paper deals with the fatigue strength of constructional elements under synchronous loadings of constant or random amplitudes and constant frequency. Loadings combined of alternate plate bending and push-pull forces of various phases and means values are taken into consideration. In the deterministic approach safety factors are determined. In the case of random load amplitudes and available strength of an element Gaussian distributions are taken into account. The formulae for calculation of expected values of safety factors and fatigue failure probability are given.
