APPLICATION OF TRANSFER MATRIX METHOD FOR ANALYSING TORSION- BENDING-COUPLED VIBRATION OF SHIP HULL

The calculation of the torsion-bending-coupled vibration problem by the transfer matrix method of a ship with large hatch openings is discussed. The point and field transfer matrices are derived, and vibration analysis of open-section beam, closed-section beam and the container ship are performed. It is shown that the transfer method for analysing torsion-bending-coupled vibration of a container ship is advantageous.
