THE ROLE OF CAVITATION IN THE DESIGN OF CONTROLLABLE PITCH PROPELLERS
Most ship designers have a history in the application of fixed propellers, the appearance of more controllable pitch propellers requires an extension of this knowledge. This paper is not written to contribute to the theoretical development of the control of cavitation for controllable pitch propellers but concentrates on design procedures, design criteria and boundary conditions.
