An intelligent low location lighting systems has been developed which is capable of leading passengers in the right direction to safety in the event of a fire on board. The system opens up wide ranging possibilities for the shipowner who can start with a plain system and then add on to achieve increasing levels of sophistication. Directions for the light movements leading to safety can be programmed or run manually, operated from the bridge. When the first smoke detector is activated images of that deck appear on the computer screen.
