NEW DEVELOPMENTS IN TUBULAR JOINT STATIC STRENGTH TECHNOLOGY

In recent years, there have been some significant technological advances in the field of tubular joints. Many of these advances are reflected in offshore guidance documents, and many more search initiatives currently underway are likely to have a significant impact on design practices. This paper discusses the current status of tubular joints technology. The creation of an up-to-date database, the screening criteria used, and the inherent of guidance documents. The paper concentrates on simple joint technology.
