SIMULATION MODEL AND CHARACTERISTICS OF MOTION FOR WING-IN- SURFACE EFFECT SHIP
To express the nonlinearity in the aerodynamic characteristics due to the surface effects and to realize an accurate an simple computer simulation model for a wide range of operation, an attempt is made to model WISES (Wing-in-Surface Effect Ships) dynamics and equations of motion. By means of stability analysis and computer simulation with the model, the behaviour of WISES is investigated. It is found that the stability characteristics of WISES motion vary according to height.
