THEORETICAL ANALYSIS OF RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN LOCAL CONTRACTION AND INTEGRAL FORMING IN LINE HEAT FORMING

The principles of line heat forming of a ship hull is described. The importance of the determination of the relationship between the local contraction of circular plates and the integral forming is analyzed. The rolling lines of curved plates are fitted using a segmented circular spline function. Calculation formulae of local contraction amount of integral forming for two typical two-way curved plates and complicated curved plates are deduced. Two examples of actual ship plates are given and the cause of error is discussed.
