FLEXIBILITY IS THE KEY FOR BELL ADY

The 300TEU BELL ADY, built by Elbewerft Boizenburg, is the first of a trio of flexible container ships to enter service for Bell Lines. The requirement for fast turnround times in ports is reflected particularly in the hatch arrangement, which allows access to individual containers quickly, and without the need to discharge whole hatch areas. Bell Lines believes that this particular arrangement offers many of the benefits of hatchcoverless operations, in terms of flexibility and accessibility, within an economically viable overall package. Principal particulars of the vessel are: propulsion MaK 8M453C length, overall 89.70m length, between perpendiculars 84.32m breadth, moulded 16.20m depth 6.40m draught 4.90m/5.04m tonnage, deadweight 3500t speed, service 14.5 knots container capacity 300TEU
