TRENDS IN AUTOMATED NON-DESTRUCTIVE TESTING

In the series production of welded components, manually applied, traditional NDT processes such as dye penetrant, ultrasonic flaw detection and film-based radiography are unlikely to be able to deep abreast with the high rates of production. This article looks at some recent developments in automated non-destructive testing appropriate to production line fabrication.
