THE ANALYSIS OF THE RELIABILITY INDEX FOR STABILISED GYROCOMPASSES

By analysing the reliability index for stabilised gyrocompasses, this article discusses the relationships between the required reliability index and the design reliability index, and the predicted value and the compliance value of reliability. The author stresses that the design reliability index should be higher than the required reliability index. The basic method for determining the reliability index is given.
