EVALUATION OF SPEED IN SHIP COLLISIONS: A CASE STUDY

The paper shows how the Minorsky method can be applied to evaluate the impact speed in an actual case of ship collision. Since the authors have been able to avail themselves of complete data and reliable verifications, the work gives a significant contribution to the validation of the approach that has been used.
