THE ALGORITHM OF CALCULATION OF THE DYNAMIC PROCESSES OF A TWO- ENGINE SHIP PROPULSION SYSTEM WITH ROTATIONAL SPEED REGULATION
A precise mathematical model of the dynamics of a two-engine ship propulsion unit is presented. In the proposed algorithm of calculating the dynamic processes by the frequency method, the ship propulsion unit has been treated as a multivariable automatic control systems. The examples presented in the paper show the results of calculations of the dynamic torques in flexible couplings caused by the engine and the propeller disturbance of the periodic type. The proposed computational method enables the calculation of transient processes caused by different disturbances in the wide range of working conditions.
