URBAN TRANSPORT: PROCEEDINGS OF THE INSTITUTION OF CIVIL ENGINEERS CONFERENCE HELD IN BIRMINGHAM ON 9-10 MARCH 1995
The purpose of this conference was to offer a platform for discussion of the emergence of new directions for transport policy and provision in the United Kingdom. It highlighted the pivotal role of transport in contributing to quality of life, identified the institutional and financial structures through which change could occur, and described the technical innovations which would facilitate this process.
