A PC MULTI-LAYER ELASTO-PLASTIC PAVEMENT ANALYSIS WITH GRAPHICS OUTPUT
Pavement performance prediction in terms of 1.2 m straight edge rutting and A/C cracking has not been successful because the theory of linearised elasticity has been used. The plastic properties of the materials have been neglected leading to very variable precision. Yandell's mechano-lattice analysis, developed some years ago, is a multi-layer three dimensional elasto-plastic layered structural analysis computer program. Its limited use was due to the somewhat tedious input-output procedure. This paper describes a user friendly input and graphical output. An example problem is presented.
