Gravel emulsion is a well-known product, used for both road bases and maintenance courses. This paper compares gravel emulsion's behaviour to that of conventional road base asphalt concrete in experiments carried out on circular fatigue test tracks, starting with a definition of the structures studied and the experiments used to do so. Following these definitions, we look at the materials used and notably COLGRAVE, a trademark gravel emulsion manufactured by COLAS SA. Structures are then evaluated and conclusions are drawn on gravel emulsion's behaviour. (A) For the covering abstract of the conference see IRRD 873950.
