IMPROVEMENT OF READHESIVE CHARACTERISTICS OF ELECTRIC MOTOR VEHICLES

AC locomotives with rectifier and DC motors are well known for their high readhesive characteristics where constants of traction motor circuit play an important role. We analyzed relations between torque and slip velocity to realize favourable readhesive characteristics and proposed a slip velocity feedback torque control. Regarding emus with three-phase propulsion, we have proven in running tests that the vehicle exhibits readhesive characteristics in a certain condition. We make some discussions on readhesive performance that must be incorporated in electric motor vehicles from a point of view of the reference velocity detection and electrical and mechanical oscillations.
