CHARACTERISTICS OF CRASH-INVOLVED YOUNGER DRIVERS
Drivers under age 25, especially new ones, have above average crash and injury rates. This paper probes the types of crashes where young drivers are over-represented. Drivers with less driving experience are involved in a higher percentage of single vehicle and turning crashes. Speed, swerving, skidding, spinning and search are identified as contributing crash factors. (A) For the covering abstract of the conference see IRRD 873507.
