USING SURVEY RESEARCH TO DETERMINE CARPOOL/TRANSIT INCENTIVE LEVELS
The Center for Urban Transportation Research conducted a discrete choice study of commute options, including establishment of parking charges and transportation allowances, with city of Orlando employees. The results of the model predictions, when compared to plans prepared by the city's Transportation Planning Department, yielded some scenarios that were more cost-effective and more palatable to employees.
