REPORT ON THE NON-MOTORIZED PROCESS IN WASHINGTON STATE
This summary, which appears in a compendium of conference papers, discusses how the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) has developed a non-motorized transportation plan to serve its citizens and meet the requirement of state law and federal legislation. WSDOT--with regional and local governments--has pursued meeting requirements via policy development, plan development, project and program development, and project and program responsibility.
