CONTROL LOGIC FOR RAIL CONTROL EQUIPMENTS FOR THE USE UNDER STOCHASTIC OPERATIONAL CONDITIONS

A new method for deadlock avoidance is derived from a control-based analysis of the queuing structure in the railroad network. By a predicate logic control system all sequence interdependencies between trains in the actual operation field are determined. Potential deadlocks are characterized by a cyclic structure within the established interdependency. The application of the developed method is demonstrated by simulation of the operational course on the basis of a real existing timetable.
