COMPARISON OF IMPACT VIBRATION TEST WITH MICROTREMOR MEASUREMENT FOR SPREAD FOUNDATION PIERS
In Impact Vibration Test, the natural frequency of the pier is reached from the response wave which is obtained to impact at the top of pier with a weight. If the natural frequency can be reached with a mictrotremor instead of the impact, the judgement for soundness of the bridge substructure will be simplified. Accordingly, the authors have conducted a microtremor measurement of bridge piers of spread foundation of which natural frequencies had been reached by Impact Vibration Test.
