Three thousand and two hundred feet of DRC (Double Reverse Core) galvanized steel fabric was installed on the concrete median along U.S. I-94 where it accomodates a daily volume of 38,000 vehicles travelling a high density windswept route. DRC's geometry prevents glare from any angle, and can withstanda blasts up to 125 MPH with the added feature of functioning as a snow or sand barrier. A method was evolved of installing special design angles steel brackets to the concrete median on 5' centers using stud fasteners and Ramset type tools. Installation features are described. The total project cost was approximately $11,500-$3,700 for labor/equipment, $7,800 for materials, or about $3.60 per lineal foot.
