NOW SHOWING IN SAN DIEGO
As the nation's sixth largest city, San Diego is feeling growing pains that are being soothed by several large-scale infrastructure projects. The San Diego Trolley is completing a $109 million light rail project to connect downtown San Diego and historic Old Town, a major attraction for tourists and residents. Another sizable project is the $60 million seismic retrofit of Interstate (I) 5/I-8 and I-8/I-805. These interchanges are vital links to travel within and through San Diego. This article provides details on these major construction efforts. Two wastewater facility projects are described as well.
