AIRPORT ACCESS MODEL DATA REQUIREMENTS

Airport access planning requires tools fit for the purpose. These models require substantial amounts of data, but can give very detailed and accurate results. All the data required varies by airport. The following list shows the data that should be acquired: airport facilities, curb layout/dwell, toll plaza capacity, parking capacity/cost, parking duration, flight schedules, visitor ratios, trip-purpose, trip timings (distributions), passenger group size, regional directional distribution, mode choice, route choice, vehicle occupancy, transit schedules, employee activity, other airport traffic, and check data.
