AN OPERATOR'S REQUIREMENTS FOR WATERJET INSTALLATIONS AND CONTROL SYSTEMS IN HIGH SPEED PASSENGER FERRIES

The paper describes the operational requirements and development of various waterjet installations and control systems currently installed on the following high speed passenger vessels: a 35m catamaran fitted with a pair of KaMeWa 71 waterjets with combinator control system; a 49m wavepiercer fitted with two pairs of MJP 65 marine jet power waterjets with an SKT Styr Kontrol Joystick system and a 74m wavepiercer fitted with two pairs of Riva- Lips 115 waterjets with a Lips-stick c control system.
