PORT DEVELOPMENTS AT DUBLIN; CAPACITY - COMPETITION - PORT CHARGES

Dublin Port proposed a plan to develop ro/ro facilities in conjunction with major users or anchor tenants. Finance would be arranged by sharing the development costs between the Port, the terminal operators and EU grant aid, and not relying on state aid. The ro/ro developments are part of an overall programme which addresses needs in lo/lo bulk liquid or solid and break bulk modes. The ro/ro plans propose two additional terminals with new ramps, paved marshalling areas and self contained services such as offices, maintenance facilities etc.
