SIMPLIFIED DYNAMICS OF MUTLILAYERED ANISOTROPIC VISCOELASTIC PLATES
Based on a new approach to plate theory, procedures are developed for the dynamic analysis of multilayered plates. They provide analytical simplifications as well as refinements of the physical description which includes the skin effect. The various layers may be anisotropic and each of them may be constituted by thinly laminated materials with stress couples. The damping due to viscoelasticity is evaluated by a method which brings out the effectiveness of each component material. Detailed end conditions may be imposed at the supports at various points across the thickness. It is shown that a plane strain analysis provides immediately solutions of three-dimensional dynamics for multilayered plates with rectangular, triangular and circular plan forms. (Author)
