THE DEVELOPMENT OF MONITORING AND CONTROL TECHNOLOGY FOR MARINE DIESEL ENGINE PROPULSION PLANTS

Over the last 30 years, the technology for monitoring and control of marine diesel engine propulsion plants has developed rapidly. This paper describes the technical features and state-of-the-art of monitoring and control technology for marine diesel engine propulsion plants worldwide. Ways of improving the technology are discussed.
