FINITE ELEMENTS FOR SHOCK ANALYSIS

Finite elements are summarized as developed for bars, shafts in torsion, Bernoulli-Euler beams and Timoshenko beams. The elements were derived as black boxes which would have correct modal forces or impedences correct at the terminal points. The elements as presented may be used directly in most existing computer programs for shock and vibration analysis of structures. (Author)
