ON PLASTIC ANALYSIS FOR NEAR INTERSECTION REGION OF CONE-CYLINDER JOINTED SHELLS UNDER EXTERNAL UNIFORM PRESSURE
The nonlinear problem of plastic limit analysis for near intersection region of cone-cylinder jointed shells under external uniform pressure is exactly solved by means of gradient method (descent method) and the results obtained are more accurate than those presented earlier by the author under the assumption of the equality of axial length of plastic flow region for shells of both the cone and the cylinder.
