ASPECTS ON HIGH SPEED CRAFT PROPULSION
The increasing demand for high speed and medium to large craft has expanded interest in light-weight hull forms (single hulls, catamarans and surface effect ships) combined with conventional or modern propulsion units such as Z-drives, surface-piercing propellers and waterjets. The choice of hull and propulsor type efficiency, resistance, seakeeping, manoeuvring, stability vibration and noise properties.
