HIGH DEPOSITION RATE SUBMERGED ARC WELDING
In this paper the authors discuss four developments in submerged arc welding which are of significance for high deposition rates. These developments include the use of microalloyed wires which enhance weld root toughness, the process of metal powder additions, improved consumables for higher strength steels and increasing productivity in pipe welding.
