RESULTS FROM USE OF AN INTEGRATED SCHEDULE FOR DRAWING DEVELOPMENT AND EQUIPMENT

As part of an SP-4 project, a computer program was developed to produce integrated schedules for drawing development. The program can be used to develop a schedule for the fabrication and assembly during construction stages and it uses a commonly available database program. It is suitable for use on a mini computer and will allow a network of terminals to be used to enter data and obtain reports. This paper reports on the results of applying this scheduling program to a simulated shipbuilding program and highlights a number of significant results.
