SOCIAL ACCEPTANCE OF PREVAILING AND AUTOMATIC POLICING SYSTEMS

Social acceptance plays an important role when new policing systems are planned. A high grade of acceptance might facilitate possibilities for implementation. This study aimed at the measurement of social acceptance of prevailing and automatic policing. Specific driver groups are also examined, offenders versus non-offenders. Social acceptance is connected to four factors: (i) societal, (ii) positive personal and (iii) enforcement effects, and (iv) fairness of a policing system.
