DYNAMIC BEHAVIOUR OF MOORED SHIPS IN HARBOURS

A new mathematical model for computing the behaviour of a moored ship in a harbour under wave, current, and wind action, which has been developed by the Delft Hydraulics Laboratory, is briefly described. The key element in the mathematical modelling is the coupling of the wave diffraction in the harbour and the wave diffraction by the ship.
