ON THE CALCULATION OF DUCTED PROPELLER PERFORMANCE IN AXISYMETRIC FLOWS

In this study a theoretical model for the calculation of duct performance for ducted propellers working in both uniform and radially variable inflow was investigated. Application of this model to the problem of interaction of a ducted propeller and the stern in axisymmetric flow was also considered. A simplified model to account for the interaction between propeller and duct was incorporated into a design method for ducted propellers.
