CONTROL OF THE WORKING ENVIRONMENT IN OFFSHORE ACCOMMODATION MODULES WITH SPECIAL REFERENCE TO SAFETY, COMFORT AND NOISE/VIBRATION CONTROL

Such a complex as an Offshore Living Quarters is required to have facilities which will enable personnel living and working on the installation to have adequate protection against hazardous environmental situations and afford pleasant living conditions and associated comforts. Legislative guidance concerning 'Offshore' development <UK Sectors> published by the Department of Environment sets out statutory requirements and guidance applicable and mandatory to Living Accommodation areas. This paper examines these requirements with more detailed definition.
