ICE LOAD INSTRUMENTATION FOR ARCTIC OFFSHORE STRUCTURES AND VESSELS

The paper is presented in abstract form only. It examines the instrumentation which is available for the measurement of total loads, local pressures, and fatigue loads on a wide range of Arctic offshore structures, including the oil tanker S/S Manhattan. The advantages and weaknesses of each device are discussed.
